Democracy Reform NZ is funded entirely by everyday New Zealanders who believe our democratic institutions can work better. We take no corporate donations and have no wealthy backers — every dollar comes from people like you who want to see real change in how our democracy operates.

Your donation funds independent research, policy development, public engagement, and the operational costs of an incorporated society focused solely on fixing the system itself.

A note on tax: donations to Democracy Reform New Zealand Incorporated do not currently qualify for a donation tax credit. Should our members later choose to register a political party (at 500 members), donations to that registered party would qualify for the 33% tax credit under the Income Tax Act 2007 — we will update this page clearly if that happens.

If our members later choose to register a political party, donations to that registered party would qualify for a 33% tax credit — a donation of $100 would then attract a credit of $33.00, an effective cost of $67.00. We will update this page clearly if that happens.
